Youth, Women & Girls Empowerment
At Empower Society Build the Nation (ESBN), empowering women, girls, and youth lies at the heart of our mission. We recognize that sustainable development cannot be achieved without uplifting these key populations—especially in communities where systemic barriers continue to limit access to education, healthcare, economic opportunity, and leadership.
Why We Focus on Women, Girls & Youth
Tanzania’s development challenges—ranging from poverty to health crises—disproportionately affect women, children, and young people. These groups often face gender-based violence, lack of access to reproductive health, educational dropouts, and economic exclusion. ESBN works to reverse these trends through inclusive, participatory, and sustainable initiatives.
Our Approach
1. Advocacy for Rights & Gender Equity
We influence policies and promote awareness around issues impacting women and girls, such as early marriage, gender-based violence, and reproductive rights. Through community dialogues and national campaigns, we push for systems that protect and empower.
2. Education & Life Skills
We conduct school outreach, mentorship, and workshops to keep girls in school and equip youth with practical life skills. ESBN also works to reduce school dropouts due to early pregnancy and poor menstrual hygiene access.
3. Vocational & Economic Empowerment
Through tailored vocational training programs in areas such as tailoring, agri-business, and digital skills, ESBN equips young women and youth with tools to build self-reliance and economic stability.
4. Health Education & Access
In partnership with healthcare providers, we deliver reproductive health education, menstrual hygiene support, and access to maternal-child health services—especially for adolescent girls and young mothers.
Impact So Far
6,000+ girls and young women reached through education and rights awareness programs.
1,200 youth and women trained in entrepreneurship and income-generating skills.
400+ adolescent girls supported with menstrual hygiene kits and workshops.
Ongoing collaborations with schools, local leaders, and health providers to improve the wellbeing of girls and young women.
A Future of Equal Opportunity
At ESBN, we believe that when young people—especially girls and women—are empowered, entire communities thrive. Our work continues to bridge gender gaps, amplify young voices, and ensure that the next generation has the opportunity to lead with confidence and purpose.
