Lobbying & Advocacy
Empowering Voices, Influencing Change
At Empower Society Build the Nation (ESBN), lobbying and advocacy are at the core of our mission to create a fairer, more equitable Tanzania. We believe systemic change begins with informed, strategic engagement with policymakers and stakeholders.
What We Do
We actively engage in lobbying and advocacy efforts aimed at improving public policies, laws, and service delivery systems that impact marginalized groups, particularly women, children, elders, and youth. Our focus areas include:
Health Equity: Advocating for increased government funding and policy reforms to address maternal and child health, access to healthcare services, and improved blood donation infrastructure.
Education Access: Lobbying for policies that prioritize inclusive, quality education for all—especially for girls and children in rural or under-resourced areas.
Youth Empowerment: Working to influence national youth policies that expand vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and job creation.
Gender Equality: Challenging discriminatory laws and practices while promoting legal frameworks that uphold women’s rights and social inclusion.
Our Advocacy Strategies
Stakeholder Engagement: Partnering with local leaders, civil society, and government institutions to amplify community voices in decision-making processes.
Community Mobilization: Conducting forums, public dialogues, and campaigns that raise awareness and build grassroots support for policy change.
Evidence-Based Campaigning: Utilizing data from our health and education initiatives to inform and strengthen advocacy messaging.
Key Achievements
Contributed to local health policy discussions addressing critical maternal and child mortality drivers.
Mobilized public support leading to improved blood collection infrastructure in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
Raised awareness among 10,000+ individuals on health rights, preventive care, and survival interventions for mothers and children.
Our Vision Through Advocacy
ESBN envisions a Tanzania where every citizen—regardless of gender, age, or economic status—has equitable access to health, education, and economic opportunity. Our advocacy ensures that community voices are heard where decisions are made, building a nation where no one is left behind.
